The Christopher Wathes BSAS 2025 Travel Award (Closed)
This Award has been established to honour the contributions which Professor Christopher Wathes OBE made to animal science, in particular through improving the welfare of farmed livestock.
Sir John Hammond Award (CLOSED)
The Sir John Hammond Award is awarded to those who have made significant contribution to animal science through research, teaching, knowledge exchange, breeding, farming, industry or affiliated professions.
Industry Prize (closed)
To apply for the Industry Prize you must be a BSAS member and an early career animal scientist (postgraduate student or within two years of graduating with a PhD) or working in commerce or industry with an equivalent level of experience (without necessarily having a PhD).
President’s Prize (closed)
To apply for the President's Prize you must be a BSAS member and presenting your first or second paper at the Annual Conference.
Undergraduate Thesis of the Year 2025
The BSAS Undergraduate Thesis of the Year Award 2025 competition is open to universities and colleges that have students participating in animal science related courses.
Developing Talent Award (closed)
This award is sponsored by AHDB. To apply for the Developing Talent Prize, you must be: - an early career animal scientist (postgraduate student or within two years of graduating with a PhD) or - working in commerce or industry with an equivalent level of experience (without necessarily having a PhD)
Feed Innovation Award (closed)
Sponsored by ED&F Man, this award recognises research innovation and application in the animal feed sector and application.
Best Poster Award (CLOSED)
The 2025 Best Poster Award is sponsored by Germinal. Posters are judged on content, clarity and readability. Sometimes less is more!
