The School of Agriculture and Food Science at UCD is unique in Ireland being the only university with a dedicated School of Agriculture and Food Science offering a broad range of exciting undergraduate, graduate taught, research and executive education programmes spanning the entire food and health chain, to over 2000 students.  

Agri-food research is a major focus of the UCD research strategy receiving €59.7 million funding in the five years to 2020. The major research themes within the school are Animal and Crop Science, Environment and Sustainable resource management, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Agribusiness and Rural Development.

Teaching and research facilities include the UCD Rosemount Environmental Research Station, the UCD Institute of Food and Health and UCD Lyons farm, a 250-research farm located on the outskirts of Dublin city.
