Join the BSAS ‘virtual conference tech team’ and become a part of BSAS history
04 Feb 2021
The Society is currently looking for technical volunteers to help at this year’s BSAS conference, 12 - 15 April 2021.
Set out below are the activities that our ‘virtual tech team’ will need to undertake.
Technical assistants are needed for each of the online sessions to cover speaker liaison, tech support and live Q&A moderation. There will usually be two technical assistants per session, where possible we will try and allocate sessions that are of specific interest. You will also be required to assist with speaker rehearsal calls before each session.
We would also like our Technical assistants to play a key role in the documentation of the presentations. There are a number of ways in which this can be done including: writing a short report/blog, taking screenshots, making notes of any key areas of interest, getting quotes from delegates on their experience of the conference and promoting the conference on social media.
Access to good reliable broadband.
Available for the whole conference (12th – 15th April 2021).
Technical assistants will be required for a 30–60-minute rehearsal call in the lead up to the event, and you’ll be asked to be before your session starts, to help speakers and viewers access the stream.
The Society will cover your registration for the whole conference, giving you access to the brand-new virtual conference app and session recordings, you will also work with our expert panel of global speakers and become a part of BSAS history, by assisting in our first ever virtual conference!
If you would like to be part of an energetic, motivated team, then please get in touch by emailing email@example.com and telling us why you think you would make a great technical assistant. We are sure that you will find this an incredibly rewarding experience and your assistance is invaluable and very much appreciated.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY 26 FEBRUARY 2021
