WPSA Spring Conference 2022

World's Poultry Science Association

WPSA LogoThe World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA) is partnering with BSAS to deliver WPSA 2022, taking place at the East Midlands Conference Centre | 13th – 14th April 2022.

You can view the preliminary programme for the conference here.

This year, we will be trialling a hybrid format where delegates may choose to attend the conference virtually or in person. In person (@EMCC) attendees will be able to get up close to the action, while also being able to seamlessly participate and network with virtual delegates and speakers from across the globe. Virtual attendees will be able to show their active participation at the conference, by liking and commenting on the content, and (we hope) engaging in live Q and A’s.

In addition to submitted talks and posters, we have two invited speaker sessions: one focussing on the impacts of our forecast return to inclusion of processed animal protein in animal feed and the other on approaches to assessment and enhancement of welfare. On the evening on the 13th April, we are delighted to host the Gordon Memorial Lecture and Reception on behalf of the Gordon Memorial Trust. Christine Nicol, Professor of Animal Welfare at the Royal Veterinary College, will give her lecture entitled: “Whither hen welfare?” Membership of WPSA (UK branch) is open to anyone with an interest in the poultry industry and poultry science. Benefits of membership include free subscription for World Poultry Science Journal, attendance at Annual General Meeting of the branch, and reduced rates for attendance at the Annual Spring Meeting, Poultry Science symposia, and World Poultry Congresses. Add WPSA membership to your conference ticket.

For delegates wishing to register for both BSAS and WPSA sessions, please register via the BSAS registration page, clicking the option to add on WPSA attendance once you added your BSAS conference pass to your basket.
