The conference is a platform on which to discuss a holistic approach to define:

  • the role of animal science in solving the world’s food crisis
  • how we can, globally, address the challenges of food security, nutrition and production

What role does animal science play in ensuring health, welfare and well-being?

The Conference discusses:

  • how human health and well-being is affected by the Challenge of Change
  • the interface between humans, animals, and the environments we share
  • how we unify approaches to improve animal health and welfare whether companion, zoo, equine or wild

Funding Opportunity

Funding opportunity to attend BSAS 2020 conference: Early Career Scientist - Emerging Countries award

Who is eligible:

Open to applicants from emerging countries in the early stages of their career, the award focuses on supporting these animal scientists to travel to the UK to attend and present at the BSAS annual conference. Applications also support international collaborations and visits to UK institutions to enhance skills and experiences or add value to the applicant existing work are particularly welcomed.

Funding: up to £1,500
