SmartCow Training Program

Interested in feed efficiency of cattle and methane emissions?

Join the SmartCow training program!

Seven training courses are scheduled for September and October 2019, dealing with topics such as feed efficiency of beef and dairy cattle and methane emissions; gold standard methods to assess key phenotypes in ruminant nutrition; and measurement techniques and proxies for methane emissions and feed efficiency.

Taught by scientists from major European research centers, these courses are aimed at scientists, technicians, stakeholders and students, etc. Tuition fees are covered by the SmartCow project.

There will be two face-to-face courses in France and Germany, and five Web conference courses easily accessible from your office:

Face-to-Face

  • Respiration chamber and methane emission – Dummerstorf, Germany
  • Gold standard methods to assess key phenotypes in ruminant nutrition – Theix,  France

Web Conference Courses

  • Feed efficiency in dairy cattle
  • Ruminant methane emissions and measurement techniques
  • Feed efficiency of beef cattle and measurement techniques
  • Microbiome proxies for methane emissions and feed efficiency
  • Proxies for methane emissions and feed efficiency, other than microbiome proxies
