Last chance to present at BSAS’s 75th anniversary conference

Animal scientists hoping to secure their place to present at BSAS’s Annual Conference in Edinburgh next spring have one final chance to make their submissions.

The deadline for applications to present has been extended for one last time to Monday 26 November. Any submissions made after this date will not be considered.

Held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 9-11 April, the 2019 BSAS Annual Conference promises to be a very special event as it marks the society’s 75th anniversary.

Titled ‘Fit for the Future’, the three-day event will celebrate the progress animal science has made over the last 75 years, whilst looking to the future of the sector.

As well as examining the challenges and opportunities faced in trying to feed a growing world population, it will identify the steps animal science and production needs to take to ensure livestock can help to meet the world’s challenges.

On top of the usual programme of species-specific sessions, experts from across the world will discuss the pioneering technologies which are shaping the future of animal production.

Meanwhile speakers from industry will discuss subjects ranging from animal behaviour, the economics of animal welfare and the adoption of new technology in livestock production.

Animal scientists and those working in related industries can make their one-page applications to present at the conference by following the guide on the conference event page.

Details on registration for the event - including early bird ticket offers - is also available on the event's page.
