Don't miss your chance to present at BSAS 2019

Scientists from across the world are being invited to make their submissions to present at BSAS’ 75th anniversary conference in Edinburgh next spring.

The event, ’Fit for the Future’, will focus on the challenges and opportunities animal science - and those working in the sector - face in trying to feed a growing world population with fewer resources.

Held at the iconic Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 9-11 April, the conference will be a celebration of the progress animal science has made over the last 75 years.

It will also look ahead to livestock science’s next steps, identifying the way the sector needs to develop to meet the world’s challenges.

As well as the usual programme of species-specific sessions, experts from across the world will discuss the pioneering technologies which are shaping the future of animal production.

Meanwhile speakers from industry will discuss subjects ranging from animal behaviour, the economics of animal welfare and the adoption of new technology in livestock production.

Animal scientists and those working in related industries are now being invited to make their applications to present at the conference, with submissions open until Monday 12 November.

A full list of topics being covered at the event is available on the conference event page
