Frequently asked questions
How to access Animal?
Click on the left hand panel of the website, 'Members Area', then click on 'Animal:members access'. Log-in with your BSAS username and password. This takes you to the Animal page - click on the link 'Members access to Animal - click here'. You are now on the publishers site, Cambridge University Press, there is no need to enter any passwords, here you can access all issues of Animal by scrolling down the page and clicking on the link for each issue. Click on the pdf to view each paper.
How can I become a member?
Click on left hand panel 'About the BSAS', click on the link 'Become a member of BSAS'. Please download an application form, complete and fax, email or post to the BSAS Office. Email: bsasstaff@sac.ac.uk, Fax: 00 44 (0)131 535 3103. Post to BSAS, PO Box 3, Penicuik, Midlothian EH26 0RZ.
With your membership form we also require brief biography or curriculum vitae and a referee. The referee should be someone who can confirm that your interests are in animal science, this should be a BSAS member or a supervisor or colleague - please provide the referees contact details. The referee is nominating you for membership. Please also include membership fee or confirm method of payment eg. Bank transfer.
How do I renew my subscription?
To pay on line - Log-in to the members area. On the BSAS members home page, click on 'Renew your annual BSAS membership on line'. This is a secure site for payment.
You can also pay by direct debit, bank transfer or sterling cheque. For further details contact fiona.ferguson@sac.ac.uk
What is my user name and password?
Username and password will have been issued at the time of joining and will be on your invoice for your subscription. If you have forgotten your username and password. Please email Frances at bsasstaff@sac.ac.uk
Your User ID is your last name followed by initials of first names
